The central government has appointed district-level officers as competent authorities to expedite land acquisition and legal processes for two important railway infrastructure projects to be implemented in Gujarat. In this regard, the central government has issued two separate gazette notifications. Both these projects fall under the Bhavnagar Division of Western Railway.
