The Gujarat government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jabil, a prominent electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, to establish a new EMS facility in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR). The investment for this venture is pegged at Rs. 1,000 crore.
This upcoming facility will serve various industries, including networking, capital goods, automotive, and other related sectors. The plant is expected to begin operations by 2027, generating employment opportunities for around 5,000 people.
The MoU was formally signed between Gujarat’s Science and Technology Department and Jabil, with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attending the ceremony.
